Long Beach Kids Connection, a volunteer-run non-profit, is seeking supporters for its 3^rd Annual Taste of the Coast fundraiser. One hundred percent of the funds raised will be used to provide much-needed help for underserved and needy children in the greater Long Beach area.

The event, which is part of the Long Beach annual Sea Festival, will be held Sunday, August 1^st at the Belmont Memorial Pier from 3 to 7 pm. Those in attendance will enjoy the tastes of special foods donated by more than 40 of the favorite food spots in Long Beach. There will also be live music, dancing, children’s activities and much more.

To make this event spectacular we need your help! You may become a sponsor or donate a raffle gift. For only $500, a 3’ x 8’ banner, complete with your company logo, will be displayed on the pier where it will be viewed by hundreds of event participants. Furthermore, your company name will be included in all of the literature and advertising and you’ll be eligible for a tax donation. If you will donate $1000 you will be listed as major sponsor and receive 4 free tickets to the event.

Or you may want to underwrite the rental of the booths ($5,000); the printing of the special invitations ($2,000); supplies ($500) or the kid’s activities ($1,000). Any of these items donated will allow us to raise more money for the children.

The funds raised will be used for many purposes for these at-risk children, including, but not limited to food, clothing, housing, medical, psychological, dental, legal, transportation, education, recreation and other related needs.

Last year despite the bad economy we were able to raise $45,000. This year our goal is $75,000 because there are so many children who are desperate for our assistance.
